Year of manufacture: 1990Model range: Sep 1989 - Oct 1991Wheelbase: 245 cmAcceleration (0-100 kph): 7,9 sTop speed: 225 km/hVAT/margin: Not VAT qualifying (margin scheme)BMW Z1 Roadster 1990- Wiesmann hardtop- Original Dutch Z1 from 1st owner- Only 1 of 135 executed in 'fun-gelb' of which only 6 were delivered in the Netherlands!- Original BMW Business RDS radio, manual, service book and BMW service folder- Only 74,030 KM verifiable! The BMW Z1 was designed by Harm Lagaay in 1986. Exactly 8,000 examples of the car, which was presented in 1987, were produced between 1989 and 1991. More than three quarters of these were sold in its home market, Germany. The most striking feature of this car was the doors, which could sink into the bodywork. That bodywork was made entirely of Thermoplastic, moulded into body panels by General Electric. The car was also the first car in the world that could achieve 1g in cornering with standard tyres, partly because of the inverted wing profile bonnet and the transverse exhaust that also had an inverted wing profile. The familiar M20 2.5-litre 6-in-line from the E30 325i provided propulsion. It produced 171 hp at 5,800 rpm and 218 Nm of torque. The car had a five-speed manual gearbox and could reach 225 km/h. It sprinted from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.Initially, only 4,000 Z1s were to be produced but once the car arrived at dealerships, there were already more than 5,000 orders and it was decided to double production to 8,000 units.A very unique and original specimen. That's how this 1990 BMW Z1 may be seen. There are many unique aspects to this iconic German sports car. For starters, it is an original Dutch-delivered car. In addition, it comes from the possession of the first owner. Also special, is the original Wiesmann hardtop with mounting set which is available at an additional cost of € 5,000. It comes in the body colour, has rear window heating and is in great condition. The body colour is 'fun-gelb' or 'fun-yellow'. Only 135 of these were produced, of which only 6 were originally delivered in the Netherlands. The odometer reading is demonstrable with only 74,030 real kilometres. The interior consists of a nice mix of various materials. The bucket seats are finished in alcantara and leather with a camouflage pattern. The backrest of the seats are finished in the body colour. Behind the headrests, there is a windshield, which provides better noise reduction and air circulation. The leather 3-spoke steering wheel was another unique highlight of the Z1. The dashboard and centre console consist of leather. This forms a nice combination together with the black carpets. The original 16-inch 7-spoke wheels were designed specifically for the Z1 and are in very clean condition. At the back of the boot there is the spare wheel which is covered with a cover. In terms of documentation, the original manual is present along with a service booklet, a BMW service folder, counter report and a valuation report.A 2.5-litre 6-in-line provided the powertrain. It produced 170 hp at 5,800 rpm and 218 Nm of torque. The car had a five-speed manual gearbox and could reach 225 km/h. It sprinted from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. This engine was mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine runs well and shifts smoothly. Unique, original and neat. What more could you want from a BMW Z1?
